Nest Project Progression

Observations inspired ideas for a possible approach to the project.

Research began by viewing bird nest building techniques.

The project progressed with sketches to explore the many possibilities.

I collected various materials that might be put to use by birds.

I constructed a letterform covered with nesting materials.

First construction of dimensional letters with nesting materials tucked within the letterforms.

Final design for exhibition letters.
