Here are close up images and news stories of my design for the San Marcos storm drain cover project.

As I researched and developed ideas, I sketched the San Marcos Salamander that would become the star of the final design.

Covers were cast for both the City of San Marcos and the Texas State University campus. The bottom photo shows me with Shawn Wolfshohl who represented the City of San Marcos and co-hosted the contest—that cover weighs over 300 pounds!

San Marcos Daily Record

The storm drain cover contest results made the front page of the San Marcos Daily Record in December 2014.

Proclamation Ceremony

On the 21st of January 2014 winners of the storm drain cover art contest were invited to San Marcos city hall for a proclamation ceremony with the mayor and city council.
